Damage Protection (Optional Add-On)

Damage Protection is an optional add-on that reduces your financial responsibility for accidental damage that occurs during normal, intended use of the equipment. Pricing varies by product.

What’s Covered:

If added to your rental, Damage Protection waives repair or replacement costs for accidental damage that happens during proper use. Examples include accidental breakage, components wearing out under normal load, or minor functional damage that occurs despite responsible operation.

What’s Not Covered:

Damage Protection does not cover loss or theft of equipment or accessories; negligence, misuse, or abuse (including improper operation or reckless use); intentional damage or vandalism; missing parts or batteries; unsafe or improper storage; weather-related damage; unauthorized repairs or modifications; or any costs exceeding the equipment’s fair market value (“Present Value”). In these situations, the renter remains fully liable for all associated charges.

Additional Notes:

Damage Protection reduces—but does not eliminate—your obligations to use tools responsibly and store them safely. It is not insurance, and Tool Club may profit from offering it. If you decline Damage Protection, you accept full liability for any loss or damage, regardless of cause.
